It’s been a while since my last post on the blog, but I’m back with good news. And I’m not talking about the fact that Roger Federer won the Miami Open against Rafael Nadal a few days back. I’m a Federer fan if you haven’t figured that out so far. The good news that I want to share with you is for the PTC Mathcad fans and also for all the engineers out there.
Especially those who might be hoping to calculate the torsion on this racquet ….
You know that PTC Mathcad Prime 4.0 was released and you heard about the cool functionality that was added. Things like equation wrapping, area locking and OLE objects are now available for the Prime 4.0 users. When we announced Prime 4.0, we also told you that we are going to have new worksheet content available.
That’s right, “Roark’s formulas for Stress and Strain” 6th Edition for PTC Mathcad Prime 4.0 is here. We’ve converted all the 1300+ worksheets to Prime 4.0 and we’ve included them in an installer for easy deployment. Most files in this Worksheet Collection have a complete calculation procedure implemented in PTC Mathcad and supported with explanatory text, reproduced tables and scanned-in figures. The Worksheet Collection is designed so users can flip to the main table of contents html page and then flip to the table or set of example problems of their choice. Each table or set of example problems has its own html table of contents from which the user may flip to the document of their choice.
The html Table of Contents is compatible with all the common browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge). For the best experience we recommend that you open the Table of Contents with Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge because they will enable you to open the PTC Mathcad worksheets directly from the location where they are stored in your computer. Using Chrome, you will only be able to download a copy of the current file that you are accessing to your "Downloads" folder.
